Thievery Corporation is a Washington, D.C. based recording artist and DJ duo consisting of Rob Garza, Eric Hilton, and their supporting artists, including current drummer Jeff Franca. Their music style mixes elements of dub, acid jazz, reggae, Indian classical, Middle Eastern, and Brazilian (such as bossa nova) with a lounge aesthetic.

Darren Foreman (born 14 May 1982) also known as Beardyman is a musician from London renowned for his beatboxing skills and use of live looping technology, and according to the BBC ”King of Sound and Ruler of Beats”.[1] He was given the nickname “Beardyman” because a name was quickly needed for a flyer for an early show, and at the time he had a beard.

Karin Elisabeth Dreijer Andersson (born 7 April 1975 in Nacka, Sweden)[1] is the lead vocalist of the electronic duo The Knife, formed with her brother Olof Dreijer. Andersson was previously the vocalist and guitarist of the alternative rock band Honey Is Cool. Andersson released her eponymous debut solo album under the name Fever Ray in 2009. Her vocal style is notable for both shrill and deep, distorted tones and the use of pitch-shifting, while her image as a performer tends to include the wearing of masks and other theatrical elements.[2]

Tortoise is an American post-rock band formed in Chicago, Illinois, in 1990 Tortoise’s almost entirely instrumental music defies easy categorization, and the group gained significant attention from their early career. The members have roots in Chicago’s fertile music scene, playing in various indie rock and punk groups. Tortoise was among the first American indie rock bands to incorporate styles closer to Krautrock, dub, minimalism, electronica and various jazz styles, rather than the standard rock and roll and punk that had dominated indie rock for years.
